![]() ![]() 1st you don't get much just the game and a killer ps4 love the look. Reviewed in the United States on 10 November 2015Īlways been a big fan of sony and blackops. The console is great, it's a ps4, its black ops 3, and it's the only 1TB HD on the market currently. the game game offer so much, even unlocking a new mode NIGHTMARE which is a crazy zombie campaign you get after completing the main campaign (which is fantastic when playing with friends). (Note each console is sitting out in the open free of inner spaces) The campaign, zombies, multiplayer are all a blast and 4 player coop is when it's at its best. Honestly all day gaming, maybe 10-12 hours a day and it was quiet the whole time. We really than this thing hard from 11/6/15-11/8/15. Out of the box it is running super QUIET, a blessing IMO. The blu Ray drive is definitely different from the 1st edition ps4 (this is my 2nd unit for multi screen play) but it doesn't seem to be anything more than a noticeable noise difference when inserting a disc. The controller is definitely cool, I like the design. It's has an all mat finish so the shiny hard drive cover that gets scratched up and finger printed easily is gone and the console is much better off with out it. I received the package Friday and I actually really like the way this console looks. That being said I at first didn't really care for the design from what I was seeing in pictures, I thought that the previous edition (Advanced Warfare) Xbox One design was a lot nicer. I got it for the obvious reason that it came with Black ops 3 and it's the very first 1TB ps4 they've released. True games would cost more but I would pay more knowing I could play as soon as got it and I wouldn't be bothered with managing what is installed where.Īll that said the quality (once installed) is excellent.īefore playing games online is no longer free like it was for PS3, now you need a $50/year Playstation Plus account to play online, and new/popular games don't always work (Like COD Black Ops 3 doesn't connect half the time.) Cartridges with writable flash memory, but however many gigabytes needed to store the game, and transfer rates as fast as an internal hard drive. I think they need to go back to cartridges. I don't think console gaming would have made it out of the 80's if people had to install anything to play. With this 1TB system you can install more games but a friend with an original 500GB PS4 says he can only install 5 or 6 games at once until his PS4 fills up, then he has to delete a game before he can install (play) another one. Also gone are the days I suppose of having dozens of games and playing anyone you want. ![]() If I want to play tomorrow morning, I better install it now. Gone are the days of putting in a disc and playing within a few minutes. Now games need to be "installed" - it can take HOURS before you're able to play the game. My main disappointment has been the changes since early the prior generation. In hindsight had I know XBox Ones could stream their gameplay to any Windows 10 machine I may well have went with the Xbox One but luckily Sony offers something similar, although it's not something you can use by normal means on non-Sony devices, you have to jump through hoops to get game streaming to a computer but hopefully in time they will formalize it and it will improve. I asked my 20 something cousins which they thought were better and universally they suggested the PS4 over the XBox One. This latest generation was the first time I purposely chose not to buy the systems as soon as they were released and truthfully I didn't even follow them that closely. I'm 37 so I grew up with original Sega and Nintendo, then Genesis and Super Nintendo, and all the other systems right up to the PS3 and XBox 360 both of which I was purchasing as an adult by that point, on the days they were released. ![]()
